Set in a world where everything has been revolutionized by a new and novel source of energy known as the thunder cores. There now exist flying ships called airships that our protagonist Tatsu has the dream of flying one day with his orphan friends. However, his dream is soon shattered as he is informed that the orphans must be taken out of this society into an isolated place because of a disease.
That is where he finds out the dark truth of the society that he loves so much and wishes to be a part of one day, it takes orphans and injects them with a mysterious substance known as plasmarrow to make them work. Tatsu along with his friends are marked for working but Tatsu escapes.
