In a world where magic has recently been discovered. A young boy touta is living and ordinary life in his village. His life is very peaceful and tranquil. Since the discovery of magic the world has undergone massive changes, now there are bounty hunters that roam the land in search of monsters to hunt.
Tota dreams of one day leaving his boring village and go to shin-tokyo a magical place where towers rise towards the sky, in order to achieve his dreams he constantly challenges yukihime .One day tota’s life completely changes, he is with his guardian when he sustains major injuries after an incident with a bounty hunter. His injuries are so serious that he is on the verge of death, suddenly he is saved by his friend yukihime.
Yukihime gives touta powers and transform his mortal body to an immortal one. Tota has now become a vampire sage, creatures that have magical powers and are also immortal. Yukihime apologizes for turning him into an immortal as she considers being immortal dreadful.
He is then taken to a mysterious place outside of new tokyo, this is where the UQ holders meet up, he then has to join the organization called the UQ holder. Touta is now a vampire mage, who uses his powers and goes on thrilling adventures and missions with the UQ holders.
