Chiguhagu Planet or otherwise known as “From Day of the River” is a fairly new manga that tells the story of a young high school girl who has made it her duty to take care of everyone. Eri or Erika has been known to be very motherly with everyone she meets.
This is because her parents have never been reliable her entire life and she has had to manage most of everything herself. Working jobs and taking care of her family has allowed her to develop a deep nurturing sense that usually comes off as annoying to some people because her kindness is usually mistranslated as her being overbearing.
This was a huge issue for her in middle school and a lot of people would make fun of her, however, as she’s grown older she’s made a few friends who love her for who she is in Chiguhagu Planet Manga. These friends as Shiro and Seika two young girls the name age as Eri who understand that Eri is simply being motherly and caring.
The story starts when gossip spreads about a new transfer student who everyone believes is an alien. The girls weigh in on the gossip as well and share their points on if aliens have the same genders as them and if they do, could this alien possibly be good looking.
As the gossip winds down the girls decide that this new boy, whether he is an alien or not, could possibly make an excellent love interest for Eri in Chiguhagu Planet. When the boy finally arrives, he’s tall and lanky, has close to zero facial expressions and has a hard time talking.
The alien gossip was really just gossip but Eri’s friends start to look at each other and realize there might have been more to it. Eri however, decides to jump the gun and start taking care of him.
