Dolly Kill Kill is a Japanese action-horror manga series published in August 2014 and has 153 chapters. The series start as Earth is under attack and turned into hell after alien insects and gargantuan dolls, with the help of advanced weapons, annihilate everyone that stands in their way to invade the planet.
Iruma Ikaruga, the protagonist, is a high school student and baseball player who fights to save his best friend, Matsun, and crush, Kumano Ren, who is the manager of the baseball team, from the dolls’ assault in the apocalypse.
The giant sized dolls unleash hell and no one understands what they truly are after in Dolly Kill Kill Manga. At this point, all that human beings care about is surviving. The story begins as Iruma wins a baseball match and shortly after, find him and the entire team under attack by wild wasps.
Iruma, Matsun and Kumano escape the attack by jumping into a pool only to resurface and find everyone else dying. They struggle to survive and in this battle, Matsun first loses one of his feet and then sacrifices himself to save Iruma and Kumano.
Kumano and Iruma are eventually separated as well and after a time skip, Iruma seems to be depressed. Iruma meets a girl named Banira who saves his life and recruits him to a force called Trial and Error, established to research and defeat the Dollys.
After a series of events, Iruma runs into Wild Dolly, the dolly that kills Matsun, and tries to avenge his best friend’s death. Iruma, along with Banira, sets out to find the Dollhouse in Dolly Kill Kill, the place where captured humans are believed to live.
The plot features a nice character arc for Iruma as he goes from being suicidal,impulsive and unstable to being mature and rational. For anyone who likes a storyline with good character development, thrill and action, this is the perfect read.
