“After the rain” will take the reader on an emotional roller coaster, the numerous ups and downs that our characters will have to face will surely take a toll on you as well. It incorporates themes of conflicting feelings and the morals of modern-day society. It is a conflicting love story between a high school girl and a much older forty-five-year-old manager.
Our main protagonist is a high school athlete who was once the best runner that the school had to offer but now she can’t run because of a severe injury. She is regarded as a very attractive individual and is liked by all, however, she is not into anyone. One day she decides to join an afterschool cafe, this is where she meets Masami the manager of the cafe.
She doesn’t pay much attention to him in the beginning but his kind and gentle nature sway Akira into experiencing strong emotions for him. What others regard as a weakness of Masami’s are the same reasons why Akira falls in love with him. Now she feels trapped and confused, will she confess her love or will she keep this as a secret forever.
