Romantic Marbling is an online completed manga written and illustrated by Han Gyul, first written and published in 2013 by Lezhin. The manga comes with a total of 73 chapters, which is relatively short and easy digestible for the new readers out there. Han Gyul with this art piece tries to depict the story of an outrageous fairy tale featuring heartwarming romance and respectable storytelling.
The manga depicts the story of a young naive girl, Han SooYeon, who seems to be suffering in her mid twenties. Recently being dumped by the man she dearly loved, she can’t help but not getting over him. She keeps telling herself she’ll be over him whenever she finds the reason why he had to do this to her. But she soon learns that he doesn’t have a pang of guilt at all. He has already made up with another girl and is happy.
She lives in a state of despair but with a pinch of optimism too in Romantic Marbling Manga. She dreams of becoming a princess, Cinderella, who’ll find her one true love and will live happily ever after with her prince. This little dream, as time went by, was fading away as she realized that real life is nothing like that at all.
She happens to find a website named Romantico, which promises sending out a “prince” to any desperate lonely girl and promises to make them a princess. Out of curiosity, she signs up for it. Later, to her surprise, a prince was delivered to his house, in a package. Here starts the bizarre but oddly entertaining love story.
Although a bit moronic and childish at some points, the manga does a good job keeping the readers entertained and hooked to something new after every chapter of Romantic Marbling. Sure the manga will get a little more predictable as you progress, but the overall experience would be a lot more pleasing.
