Gojou is living a not so perfect life, his passion for making dolls and making doll outfits has left him in a lonesome position. After people found out about this hobby of his, they started to avoid him and make fun of his different tastes. Now he is in high school and afraid of any social interaction.
One day he meets a girl named Kitagawa Marin. She is the exact opposite of Gojou, she is not afraid of letting people know about how she loves anime and manga and does not live a gloomy life but is instead living a very cheerful and happy life. She has accepted the way she is and expects others to do the same. She even does cosplay.
When she overhears Gojou talking to one of his dolls she is not shocked but is very intrigued at his amazing sewing skills. She approaches him and asks him if he could make an outfit for her as well. From there on out, they start hanging out with each other and start to become friends. In their relationship, they have to deal with a lot of troublesome events in which they both help each other out.
