The Rising of the Shield Hero (盾の勇者の成り上がり, Tate no Yuusha no Nariagari) is a light novel series composed by Aneko Yusagi.
Initially distributed as a web novel, the arrangement has since been distributed by Media Factory with delineations by Minami Seira. As of January 25th, 2017, 16 volumes have been distributed.
The novel (Tate no Yuusha no Nariagari) arrangement was adjusted into a manga series by Aiya Kyū and distributed by Media Factory, with six volumes released starting at July 23, 2016.
Both the novel and manga arrangement was authorized by One Peace Books and were distributed in North America beginning in September 2015.

It begins light-hearted and fun but really soon betrayal strikes and Naofumi is left on the dust in Tate no Yuusha no Nariagari. While the other 3 people who get chosen as saints get spoiled with riches and love.
It’s really dramatic, to begin with and when it gets you to the edge of your seat you finally start to see a bit of the light again. But then just as you’ve started to grow accustomed to the happier version of the manga (Tate no Yuusha no Nariagari) disaster strikes once more.
It’s (Tate no Yuusha no Nariagari) a web novel, which means long pants and several parts for you to read. The associations with the ‘abhorrent’ eminence likewise appear to drag out after at some point. And while the manga itself is mostly story oriented and pg it does contain an uncanny amount of swearing, slave-exchanging, and brutality.
